Company History
Protein Metrics was founded in 2011 by Christopher Becker, Marshall Bern, and Yong J. Kil, a mass spectrometrist, and algorithms developer, and a software engineer. Protein Metrics' software products were developed in collaboration with analytical chemists at pharmaceutical companies, and build on a base of algorithms developed at Xerox PARC from 2005 to 2012 and now under exclusive to Protein Metrics. Protein Metrics has received a number of grants from the NIH in cutting-edge research areas, including biopharma product characterization, biomarker discovery, de novo sequencing of antibodies, and glycopeptide analysis.
